Jamie is a director who currently has 7 films to his credit. His movie "The Mouse Trap" was one of the most anticipated films of 2024. The trailer, released January 1st, 2024, created the first viral sensation of the year with 50 million collective views in only the first 10 days. The story was covered by many major news network globally. The film streamed exclusively on Peacock in the United States. The film was also released internationally, including theatrical runs in a number of regions. Japan released in 80 cinemas on march 7th 2025 a special directors cut featuring 20 never before seen minutes.
Jamie has been featured in major newspapers, TV and Radio stations globally. He has appeared on CNN, Current Affairs, CBC, Global News and has been written about in Rolling Stone Magazine, Variety, USA Today, The Hollywood Reporter and The Washington Post and many others.
He has directed numerous horror films including the ” Deinfluencer” trilogy which has two sequels currently in post production and "What Lurks Beneath", a horror film set in a submarine which was released in December 2024 on Amazon Prime and Tubi. Not limited to just horror, Jamie also directed “The Omro Heist”, a bank heist action film which was released theatrically in the US in January 2025. He also directed "This Was America", a political drama which premiered on Amazon Prime in 2020.
Jamie Bailey also created, produced and directed the business talk show “The Next Biggest Winner”. The show aired nationally across Canadian television for two seasons in primetime (30 x 46 episodes) on ichannel from 2012 - 2014.
His feature documentaries entitled "Firestarter" and “Blank Slate” were released in 2019 & 2020 on national broadcast television and Tubi .
In addition to film & television production, Jamie has also created numerous television commercials and corporate videos for many clients. He was previously the co-founder and president of Metaphoria Productions Inc.; a Toronto-based commercial and television production company.
Earlier in his career, Jamie was the founder and president of Fresh Productions Inc., which he started in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2003. The company produced print, radio and TV commercials for clients such as Holiday Inn, Rogers and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
